In anticipation of IndyCar Series' Championship Race, the Hard Rock Cafe, Honda Generators, and Motor Media have teamed up for special events on Thursday October 13th and Friday October 14th to welcome race fans to Las Vegas with meet & greets, a silent auction, driver appearances, and live music performances.
On Friday, Oct. 14th, the Hard Rock Cafe hosts The Party: an evening with IndyCar drive PJ Chesson, NASCAR and ARCA drivers Joey Coulter, Molly Saleen, Ricky Byers, and other special guests. While hanging out with the drivers, attendees can bid at the silent auction that offers items like music memorabilia, a Honda generator, autographed racing helmets, and personal collectibles of racecar drivers. DJ set by Chris Vrenna (of Nine Inch Nails) at 9PM rocks the cafe, followed by special live performance by Vegas' own Fall In Vain at 11PM.
All proceeds of the silent auction are proudly donated to the World Motor Sports Breast Cancer Foundation (WMSBCF) and Racing For A Cure. WMSBCF is devoted to fund the victims of breast cancer directly, and clinics that offer mammograms to under- or uninsured patients. Racing For A Cure is spearheaded by driver Ricky Byers, a two-time survivor of cancer. After beating the illness twice, Byers decided to combine his passion for racing with the hunt for a cure. Proceeds from Ricky Byers Racing are donated to cancer research.
The event is 18+ to enter and free to attend, and located in the Hard Rock Cafe at 3771 S. Las Vegas Blvd. Contact Rhyan Sharkey or Ceatta Bogataj for more information about this event.
