SHEAR MADNESS Comes To Town Square Las Vegas, Previews 5/4

Shear Madness, the side-splitting whodunit comedy, is getting ready to opens its doors at Town Square Las Vegas. The show will be holding previews starting May 5th at 7:00 pm and will kick off its run at Town Square with a special Press Opening on May 8th at 7:00 pm.

Set in present-day Las Vegas, Shear Madness engages visitors and locals alike as armchair detectives to help solve the scissor-stabbing murder of a famed concert pianist who lives above the Shear Madness hairstyling salon. The show combines up-to-the-minute improvisational humor and a mixture of audience sleuthing to deliver a truly unique performance each night. Featuring a cast of 6 Equity actors and direction by the show's creator, Bruce Jordan, Shear Madness will delight audiences with its upbeat and hysterical banter. "Las Vegas is about to get a whole lot funnier. With times as tough as they are, we all can use a great laugh," says the show's Executive Producer, Terrence R. Williams.

To celebrate the opening of this epic production at Town Square, Shear Madness is offering the only full-time locals promotion in town. Patrons with addresses in Las Vegas, Henderson, Boulder City, and surrounding areas will benefit from a FREE Seat Upgrade for their entire party. "This isn't a special promotion," says Williams. "This is all day, every day, not just for a limited time only. After all, the local residents are the ones who tell their friends and relatives to go. Don't they deserve the royal treatment?" Shear Madness has been recognized by the Guinness Book of World Records as the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd longest-running play in the United States. The original Boston production is now in its 30th year. Other long-running productions of Shear Madness include The Kennedy Center in Washington, DC (22 years), and Chicago, IL (19 years).

Previews of Shear Madness begin May 5, 2009. Press Opening Night is currently scheduled for May 8, 2009. The show will be performed Tuesday through Sunday at 7:00pm with matinee performances on Saturday and Sunday at 3:00pm. The show is Dark on Mondays.
