Last year the event raised $25,000, which was contributed toward the annual fund. Nicole Sterling, associate director of development said, "With the addition of an online auction and other fundraising components, we have been able to increase the financial impact of this event almost five-fold from just two years ago. We couldn't do it without the generous friends of the Festival in Las Vegas and beyond, and we thank them for that."
The event featured an evening of food, entertainment, and fun with Festival artists and friends. The program for the evening featured executive director R. Scott Phillips, founder Fred C. Adams, and artistic directors David Ivers and Brian Vaughn, with performances by 2013 company members Rhett Guter and Elizabeth Telford and accompanist Trent Dahlin.
"We invited patrons, donors, and friends of the Festival to join us for a preview of the 2013 season, especially our production of Peter and the Starcatcher," said Jyl Shuler, Festival development director. "It was a significant fundraising event, and we hope people will join us for the annual gala in Cedar City this July."
Lawry's The Prime Rib Restaurant generously served as the host sponsor for the sixth consecutive year, as well as Southern Wine and Spirits of Nevada who also supported the successful evening.
