While in Las Vegas over the weekend, actor Neil Patrick Harris (soon to be back on Broadway, starring in Hedwig and the Angry Inch) was spotted enjoying the wild antics from the Strip's hit show ABSINTHE at Caesars Palace on July 11. Having always been a fan of the acro-cabaret variety show, Harris met with the cast afterwards and took on the challenge of walking across the high wire, yet again. Harris attended ABSINTHE in February 2012 and was carried across the high wire sitting on top of Tony "Tightropes" Hernandez's shoulders. This time, Harris took the challenge, defying the laws of gravity as he stood up on top of Hernandez's shoulders and was taken across the high wire from one end to the other. Talk about daring! Harris has always been a friend to the show and the cast welcomed him back with open arms.
ABSINTHE at Caesars Palace is the critically acclaimed acro-cabaret variety show featuring wild and outlandish acts in a theatre-in-the-round presentation. Audiences are treated to a night of imagination and excess as the cast of eccentrics perform amazing feats of strength, balance, danger and unfathomable flexibility within mere feet of the audience surrounding the intimate stage.
ABSINTHE continues to receive rave reviews from both fans and critics alike since opening in April 2011, including being named the "Best Show of 2012" by VegasChatter.com, and "Best New Show" on the Strip by both Vegas SEVEN and Las Vegas Weekly. ABSINTHE has also attracted big name celebrities to the show including Neil Patrick Harris, Ice T and Coco Austin, Cedric the Entertainer, Adrian Grenier, Taye Diggs and Idina Menzel, among many others. ABSINTHE show times are Wednesday-Sunday at 8 p.m. and 10 p.m., with no show on Monday and Tuesday. For more information, please visit www.absinthevegas.com.
