The champagne flowed as Gordie Brown celebrated his first anniversary in The Venetian Showroom at The Venetian Resort-Hotel-Casino. The show opened with an honorary champagne saberage as the cork was sliced off of a bottle of champagne, using a saber. A champagne toast was shared by all as Gordie's manager, Bernie Yuman, thanked Gordie and The Venetian for a successful first year.

After an energetic and fun-filled show that had the audience near tears they were laughing so hard, a celebratory cake with Gordie's image and the words "Cheers to a Year" was wheeled on stage for a photo opportunity at the curtain call. A champagne magnum, courtesy of Piper Heidsieck Champagne, was raffled away to one lucky audience member by Gordie Brown himself.

Following the anniversary performance, an exclusive party for VIP guests and friends of Gordie celebrated at his favorite restaurant, Valentino, at The Venetian. Guests included Robin Leach, Clint Holmes, Nathan Burton, Brent Barrett star of Phantom – The Las Vegas Spectacular, Tony Sacca, Alicia Jacobs, Howard Lefkowitz, Bernie Yuman and others. Ice sculptures decorated the room as guests mingled, sipped Gordie's preferred drink, the apple martini and tasted the delicious creations of world-renowned Valentino chef, Piero Selvaggio.
