Marc Savard, of the Marc Savard Comedy Hypnosis show, celebrated his 1,000th show on Saturday, June 18, 2011.
"People thought I was crazy when I decided to move here in 2003 in hopes of having a show on the Las Vegas Strip," said Savard. "It didn't happen right away, and as any performer in Las Vegas knows, there have been many ups and downs. But the journey has been all worth it. I am so excited to be celebrating this milestone."
On Saturday, Savard celebrated with his staff, cast, and crew after his 1000th show. Savard invited the entire audience to join them at the after-party, held at the Saxe Bar, located in the Miracle Mile Shops at Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino.
So what does 1,000 shows mean for a comedy hypnotist? For Savard, 1,000 shows calculates to approximately 11,459 hypnotized participants, 9,686 Irish Dancers, 216 Kung Fu Masters, 1,000 Voodoo boy bands created, 27,918 musical "air guitar" instruments played, 5,651 ‘lollipops' licked and 6,127 porn star identities created.
"The best part of doing this many shows in Las Vegas is the amount of people that we have made happy," said Savard. "My show is a pleasant surprise. People do not realize how hilarious and how much fun it actually is until they see it."
