MENOPAUSE THE MUSICAL Becomes Longest Running Book Musical in Las Vegas with 3,000 Performances

Las Vegas Mayor Carolyn G. Goodman declared April 16, 2013, MENOPAUSE THE MUSICAL Day in recognition of the show's eight years and 3,000 performances of laughter and empowering women.

Currently playing at the Luxor Hotel on The Strip, MENOPAUSE THE MUSICAL is the hilarious musical parody staged to classic tunes from the 60's, 70's and 80's that has had millions of women from across the world laughing and dancing in the aisles for more than twelve years. It has been in over 450 cities in the US and 15 countries, translated into seven different languages.

Set in a department store, four women with seemingly nothing in common but a black lace bra on sale come to find they have more to share than ever imagined. The all-female cast makes fun of their woeful hot flashes, forgetfulness, mood swings, wrinkles, night sweats and chocolate binges. A sisterhood is created between these diverse women as they realize that menopause is no longer "The Silent Passage," but a stage in every woman's life that is perfectly normal!

"We've had an amazing run in Las Vegas and are thrilled to be the longest-running book musical in the city's history," said MENOPAUSE THE MUSICAL Creator/Writer Jeanie Linders.

Linders is known throughout the theatrical industry for award-winning innovations in marketing and management with her company E&M Theatrical, Inc. In addition to MENOPAUSE THE MUSICAL, she is the creator/writer/producer of The D*Word - A Musical (*Ditched, Dumped, Divorced and Dating), coming to Las Vegas and other U.S. cities, scheduled for 2013 and beyond.

Linders will also be premiering the updated Menopause The Musical Extreme for the next generation of women in Orlando, Florida, as well as internationally, in 2014. The Jeanie C. Linders Fund, and her shows have been a passionate voice for empowering women in countries as diverse as Ghana, Italy, Kenya, Nepal, the U.S. and many more.
