Lior Suchard (top left) is a mentalist. I have seen him work his skill - or, perhaps, art - many times, both onstage and for casual audiences. What he does is jaw-droppingly astonishing.

I saw new Suchard's show in the Palms in Las Vegas at a press night and, please be assured, there is no more cynical audience than members of the press. One even proved that by implying in print that Suchard set up segments of his act before the show.

But I'd bet that guy is wrong. I won't go into details here but I've seen him walk into a place he's never been before - in this instance, an office - and wow the people there.

Suchard was in Las Vegas for the first time last year opening for Joan Rivers. At those shows, he had about half the time he gets in his own show at The Palms. But, regardless the length of the show or the venue, he leaves the audience - well - astounded. At least, "astounded" is the word I heard from a producer who saw him at the media night.

"I don't know how he does it. I don't really know what he does.  But he is amazing," the guy said.

Suchard won an Israeli reality show contest that to find the successor to mentalist Uri Geller. The show was broadcast in several countries and he was an instant star, traveling the world - with stops on Leno and Today - and doing his thing.

Be assured, there is no magic here, only one small bit of sleight of hand. You absolutely should go.

Another must-see is Human Nature at Imperial Palace. These four AustralIan White guys who do a Smokey Robinson-approved "ultimate Celebration of the Motown Sound are, very different from Suchard, but also are astounding. They are magic. Close your eyes during their show and you are transported back to Motown in its heyday.

Toby Allen, Phil Burton and brothers Andrew and Michael Tierney came together while in high school in Sydney. Their musical pedigree is impeccable. A dozen or so hit albums in Australia, touring with Céline Dion, opening for Michael Jackson….it looks as if the sky's the limit for them.

Their Las Vegas show has become a huge hit mostly by word-of-mouth and it deserves that word. They get the audience up singing and dancing and their audience is of all ages. The floor of the room - the recently christened Human Nature Theatre - quite literally, shakes when they do their thing.

So, why hurry to see these two shows in November? Well, Suchard is at the Palms Thursday and Friday evenings at 8 through November 19. Hopefully, he'll be here more than once a year or, maybe, he'll become a permanent resident here but, until then, tickets are available at: http://www.ticketmaster.com/search?tm_link=tm_homeA_header_search&q=lior+suchard&search.x=0&search.y=0

After their show on Tuesday, November 23, the guys in Human Nature are going home to Australia for the holidays. They'll be back December 28. But, if you won't be in Las Vegas then, be sure to catch them now, 7:30 Saturday through Thursday, at their theater in the Imperial Palace.  https://harrahs-web.vegas.com/imperial_palace/imperial_palace_HumanNature.html

You will, I'd bet, love both these shows.
