Lily Tomlin, THE LION KING et al. Set for MGM Mirage in April

MGM Mirage has announced its upcoming entertainment schedule for the month of April. They include shows at ARIA, Bellagio, MGM Grand, New York-New York, Luxor and Circus Circus, amoung others.

ARIA

Elvis Theatre

Viva Elvis. ARIA celebrates the greatest entertainment force of all time, Elvis Presley. Presented by Cirque du Soleil® in an 1,840-seat theater, Viva ELVIS pays tribute to his music and life through a harmonious fusion of dance, acrobatics, and live music. Nostalgia, modernity, and raw emotion provide the backdrop for his immortal voice and the exhilaration and beauty of his music. The show, just like Elvis, is powerful, sexy, whimsical and truly unique. The creative combination of live musicians and singers, exclusive video, dance and the latest in multimedia sound and lighting technology stimulate the senses and offers an emotional bond with the audience. The show brings Elvis back to Las Vegas for millions of his fans and enables him to create untold numbers of new fans. Extraordinary artistry, stunning special effects and The King of Rock ‘n' Roll electrify Vegas in a show like no other.

Bellagio

"O" Theatre

"O" BY Cirque du Soleil® Cirque du Soleil® weaves an aquatic tapestry of artistry, surrealism and theatrical romance in the timeless production of "O." The international cast of world-class acrobats, synchronized swimmers, divers and characters perform in, on and above water to create a breathtaking experience in a magnificent theatre reminiscent of a European opera house.

MGM Grand

Hollywood Theatre

David Copperfield. Master magician and illusionist David Copperfield returns to MGM Grand's 740-seat Hollywood Theatre with his latest stage production, An Intimate Evening of Grand Illusion. David Copperfield was named "our era's giant of magic" by the New York Times.

Copperfield will perform April 8 through 28 at 7:30pm and 10pm with a 4:30pm matinee on Saturdays only. Tickets are $99.25, $79 and $69. Meet-and-greet VIP packages which include front row seating and a souvenir photo are available for $199.25 (matinee and 7:30 p.m. performances only). Lily Tomlin. Lily Tomlin, one of America's most brilliant comediennes, will perform her unique brand of comedy in the Hollywood Theatre at MGM Grand. Throughout her extraordinary entertainment career, Tomlin has received numerous awards including six Emmy® Awards, two Tony® Awards, a GRAMMY® for her comedy album and two Peabody Awards for Edith Ann's animated special "Just Say Noël" and the HBO documentary film "The Celluloid Closet." In 2003, Tomlin received the prestigious Mark Twain Prize for American Humor.

Tomlin will perform April 29 through May 5 at 8pm. Tickets are $168.50 (limited number of Golden Circle tickets), $80.50 and $58.50. The Beatles Love By Cirgue Du Soleil®. LOVE brings the magic of Cirque du Soleil® together with the spirit and passion of The Beatles to create an intimate and powerful entertainment experience. Inspired by the poetry of the lyrics, the creative team designed a series of scenes inhabited by colorful characters in extravagant costumes. The show captures the essence of love that John, Paul, George and Ringo inspired during their astonishing adventure together

Zunmanity Theatre

Zumanity, The Sensual Side Of Cirque du Soleil. Zumanity is a provocative cabaret-style production with a Cirque du Soleil twist. On the cutting edge of contemporary Las Vegas entertainment, ZUMANITY blends playful innuendo with daring eroticism in the intimate ZUMANITY Theatre. Created for an adult audience of 18 years and older, ZUMANITY explores different perspectives of love and contains explicit and provocative content.

Menopause The Musical. Inspired by a hot flash and a bottle of wine, writer and producer Jeanie Linders created the show as a celebration of women who are on the brink of, in the middle of, or have survived "The Change." From its first performance, Menopause The Musical® has evolved as a "grass-roots" movement of women who deal with life after 40 and all the challenges that result in the mental, physical and spiritual freedom of the post-World War II baby boomer generation. The Las Vegas cast includes Queen Emily, a finalist in last year's America's Got Talent, and Paige O'Hara, the voice of Belle in the Disney classic Beauty and the Beast. Additional cast members include local favorites Laura Lee O'Connell, Annette Verdolino, Cheryl Spencer, Sandra Benton and Lori Legacy.

Thunder From Down Under Showroom

Defending The Caveman. Broadway's smash hit about the sexes, "Defending the Caveman" is a hilarious insightful play about the ways men and women relate. It offers side-splitting opinions on contemporary feminism, masculine sensitivity and the erogenous zone. The longest-running solo play in Broadway history, "Defending the Caveman" originally opened in San Francisco in 1991 and moved to Broadway in 1995. Since its debut, "Defending the Caveman" has been seen by more than eight million people worldwide and continues to grow in popularity.

Defending the Caveman has performances Sunday through Thursday at 3pm, and Friday and Saturday at 3pm and 7pm. Tickets for the 3pm shows are $44.95 and $34.95, tickets for the 7pm shows are $64.95 and $39.95.
