Lacey Schwimmer has teamed up with Legends in Concert, the longest-running show in Las Vegas, to unveil a stunning new production number to open the show at Flamingo Las Vegas on February 11.
"I'm so excited to be choreographing for the iconic Legends in Concert. The show is older than I am but it doesn't look a day over 21," Schwimmer playfully quipped.
The opening number will feature the song "Legends Never Die" which highlights this beautiful theme threaded through the musical tour de force.
"We are ecstatic to present an opening theatrical number for the first time in the show's 34 year history. Opening the show with a customized ensemble piece is a concept I have wanted to integrate into the show for quite some time," said Gina Adams, vice president for Legends in Concert. "Lacey's award-winning talents have dazzled fans on 'So You Think You Can Dance' and 'Dancing with the Stars,' and we're thrilled to collaborate with her expertise to bring our vision to life."
In addition to the new opening number, the Legends production team consisting of Toni Lee, Melden Steele, Bernard Polk and Hilary Caldwell, are also producing a fantastic new high-energy finale that is sure to leave audiences with feel-good music memories that after 34 years Legends continues to deliver.
Legends goes back to its roots with music gods and goddesses of the past, such as Janis Joplin, Michael Jackson, Marilyn Monroe and Elvis Presley.
