The Las Vegas Philharmonic will start selling single tickets today, Wednesday, August 1, 2018, to its 13 performances from September 2018 - May 2019 through The Smith Center Box Office. This will be the orchestra's 20th anniversary concert season and Donato Cabrera's 5th season as Music Director for the Las Vegas Philharmonic.
The upcoming season will honor this exciting milestone by offering a selection of classical masterpieces including ten notable works that the orchestra has performed before over the course of its twenty-year history. Some of these works include Bernstein's Symphonic Dances from West Side Story, Rachmaninoff's Piano Concerto No. 2, Mozart's Symphony No. 40, Brahms's Concerto for Violin and Cello, and Beethoven's Symphony No. 9. In addition, the Philharmonic will bring back its dynamic pops-style performances starting in October with the psychological horror film, Psycho, with live orchestra, followed by A Classic Holiday featuring Las Vegas favorites, Kristen Hertzenberg from Phantom and Travis Cloer from Jersey Boys, The Music of John Williams featuring nine epic scores from some of America's best films, and ending with American pop trio, Time For Three performing a musical mash-up of hits from Bach to the Beatles.
Music Director Donato Cabrera and special guests will continue to host pre-concert conversations one hour prior to each performance in Reynolds Hall to discuss the works to be performed and the history behind the music (no pre-concert conversation before the Time for Three concert on March 2, 2019).
Single ticket pricing in the 2018-19 season will stay consistent with the prior season pricing and includes five price levels in Reynolds Hall:
PT Box = $109, A Seating = $105, B Seating = $70, C Seating = $50 and D Seating = $30
The Philharmonic celebrates its 4th season of Spotlight concerts in Troesh Studio Theater at The Smith Center. These intimate performances offer a unique opportunity to see and hear first-hand the musical stories shared by members of our orchestra as they perform their favorite works for small ensembles. Philharmonic musicians featured in this season's Spotlight concerts include De Ann Letourneau (violin), Jason Bonham (viola), Andrew Smith (cello), Kim Glennie (harp), Tom Wright (trumpet), Bill Bernatis (horn), Nathan Tanouye (trombone), Voltaire Verzosa (piano) and special guest Richard Cobo (guitar). The ticket price for each of the three Spotlight concerts in Troesh Studio Theater is $70 and is general seating only.
The Las Vegas Philharmonic will continue to offer its shuttle bus services from its Henderson and Summerlin locations in Las Vegas to its Reynolds Hall evening performances during the 2018-19 concert season. A roundtrip bus pass costs $25 per concert and can be purchased in conjunction with the patron's concert ticket.
