LV Little Theater Holds SPELLING BEE Summer Auditions On 4/14

Las Vegas Little Theatre announces auditions for its summer musical, The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee on Monday April 13th and Tuesday April 14th from 6pm - 9pm. Auditions will be held at LVLT, 3920 Schiff Drive.

All roles are available. Please note, you must at least 18 years old to audition. No one under 18 will be seen at the auditions.

Cast Breakdown Please note the suggested audition music for each role.

The Adults

Rona Lisa Peretti - 30's - 40 - Host of the Spelling bee. Audition Song - "I Love You Song" - Mother's Solo

Mitch Mahoney - Late 20's - 30's - The Comfort counselor. African-American. Audition Song - "The Comfort Counselor's Prayer"

Douglas Panch - 30's - 40's - Judge of the Spelling bee. Audition Song - "Spelling Bee Rules"

The Kids - Note the "Kids" roles also double as parents and will be played by adults, seeking actors in their 20's

Chip Tolentino - 12 years old - Last year's spelling bee winner. Suggested Audition Song - Chip's Lament

Leif Connybear - 12 years old - Sweet but, simple - Audition Song - "I'm not that Smart"

William Barfee - 12 years old - Bright but, socially backwards. Chronic Congestion. Audition Song - "Magic Foot"

Marcy Park - 12 years old - an over achiver and doesn't want to be - Asian American. Audition Song - "I speak 6 Languages"

Olive Ostrovsky - 12 years old - Sweet and Smart, dealing with absentee parents. Audition Song - "I Love You Song" Olive's Solo

Logainne SchwartzandGrubenierre - 12 years old - Driven by her 2 dads, speaks with a lisp. Audition Song - "Woe is me (reprise)"

Please prepare either the suggested audition song for the role you wish to audition for (preferred) OR 32 bars of a modern Broadway uptempo. Accompanist Provided, please no CD tracks. You only need to provide sheet music in your key if you planning to audition with a song that is NOT from the show.

Auditions will be readings from the script.

Actors will sing first. Reading auditions will be held on the same evening.

A picture and resume are not required to audition, but please bring one if you have it.
