WHO: Seven performers from the resident production of KÀ by Cirque du Soleil at MGM Grand in Las Vegas will make their first ever visit to New York to present a performance of traditional Chinese and Brazilian martial arts in the 2011 Chinatown Lunar New Year Parade.

WHAT: The show's central characters - the Imperial Twins - will make their journey through the parade route leading up to a featured performance where they will be joined by the skillful warriors of the Imperial Army and a very acrobatic Court Jester to present a high-energy, 4-minute performance featuring a combination of martial arts including Wushu, Chinese Opera and Capoeira.

Created and directed by Robert Lepage, currently directing Wagner's "Ring" cycle for the Metropolitan Opera, KÀ is a gravity-defying production featuring an innovative blend of high-flying feats, puppetry, projections and martial arts. KÀ unfolds on a custom-built, colossal, 360-degree rotating stage which forms the backdrop for this cinematic journey of aerial adventure and perpendicular acrobatics.
