Cast members from The Strip's hottest shows, Travis Cloer from Jersey Boys and Tina Walsh from Phantom - The Las Vegas Spectacular, will lend their powerful vocal talents to the worthy "Dancing With the Las Vegas Stars - A Battle Against Cancer" charity event on Sunday, April 19 at RAIN Nightclub.
Presented by Comprehensive Cancer Centers of Nevada and hosted by The Caring Place, the event will bring together six different cancer-fighting charities. Each of the charities will be represented by a star who will dance during the event, as supporters purchase votes for their favorites. As the votes are being tallied, Cloer and Walsh will delight the audience with the same stage presence and musical brilliance that captivates audiences nightly when they appear as Frankie Valli in Jersey Boys and Madame Giry in Phantom - The Las Vegas Spectacular, respectively.
Jersey Boys, the story of Frankie Valli and The Four Seasons, was named the number one show of 2008 by the Las Vegas Review-Journal and will celebrate its year anniversary on May 3, 2009. A unique presentation of live music and drama, Jersey Boys is the story of how a group of blue-collar boys from the wrong side of the tracks became one of the biggest American pop music sensations of all time. They wrote their own songs, invented their own sounds and sold 175 million records worldwide - all before they were thirty. The show features such hits as "Sherry," "Big Girls Don't Cry," "Can't Take My Eyes Off of You," "Oh, What a Night" and many more. Jersey Boys performs at The Palazzo Monday, Thursday, Friday and Sunday at 7 p.m.; Tuesday and Saturday at 6:30 p.m. and 9:30 p.m. and dark on Wednesday.
