Celebrated musical artists from the 1980s and 1990s will perform some of their greatest radio dance hits at the Orleans Arena for "Flashback Concert Jam," a concert presented by SUNNY 106.5 on May 14.
Vocal powerhouse Taylor Dayne just joined the lineup, and will bring her timeless hits "Love Will Lead You Back" and "Tell It to My Heart." Dayne first hit the music scene in the late '80s, with her single "Tell It to My Heart" hitting dance charts internationally in the top 5, and later going Gold in the United States.
1990s sensations and multi-platinum-selling artists En Vogue will bring their numerous hits, including "Free Your Mind," "Hold On" and "My Lovin' (You're Never Gonna Get It)." The group has sold more than 20 million records worldwide, and has been honored with three Soul Train Awards, two American Music Awards, seven MTV Video Music Awards and several Grammy Award nominations.
With their #1 smash hit "Seasons Change," Exposé became the first girl group to have seven back-to-back top-10 hits on the Billboard Hot 100 in the late 80s and early 90s. Some of their best-known hits include "Point of No Return" and "I'll Say Good-Bye for the Two of Us."
One of the best-known teen pop sensations from the 1980s, Tiffany recorded her hit song "I Think We're Alone Now" at the age of 15. She went on to release more Billboard Hot 100 hits, including "Could've Been" and her gender-swapped version of the Beatles hit, "I Saw Him Standing There."
The Jets had numerous Billboard Hot 100 hits during the mid-to-late 1980s, including their five top-10 singles "Crush on You," "You Got It All," "Make It Real," "Rocket 2 U" and "Cross My Broken Heart."
Club Nouveau made a statement with their 1986 debut album, "Life, Love, and Pain," which included four consecutive hits: "Jealousy," which is an answer to Timex Social Club's "Rumours," "Situation #9," "Why You Treat Me So Bad," and their Grammy Award-winning song, "Lean on Me," which became a Billboard Hot 100 hit.
Oregon natives Nu Shooz found fame with their songs "Point of No Return" and "I Can't Wait," which reached #3 on the Billboard Hot 100.
From his album "Time After Time," which made it to #46 on the Billboard 200 albums chart, Timmy T rose to fame with his 1991 single "One More Try," which topped the Billboard charts at #1.
