EVIL DEAD THE MUSICAL prepares to paint the Las Vegas Strip red, one bloody t-shirt at a time, as it moves into the V Theater, located in the Miracle Mile Shops at the Planet Hollywood Resort and Casino.

Starting June 22nd, EVIL DEAD THE MUSICAL will be taking up residency in Sin City on Fridays at 10pm and Saturdays at 11:30pm, with ticket prices ranging from $39.99 to $59.99.

This unique production combines multimedia, live performance, audience participation, and 4D elements to take audience members into its world. From undead ushers to blood spraying out into the audience, this musical comedy is bringing a new type of entertainment to the Vegas Strip, and the people behind it are determined to make a lasting impression.

The show is produced and directed by Sirc Michaels, who has brought a level of audience interaction to the production that belies his past work with another cult classic - The Rocky Horror Show. This show, however, trades in g-strings for rotting flesh and corsets for a chainsaw. It is a full length show, with an intermission - something few shows on the Strip can pull off, and a testament to the producer's determination to present "full" works to the audience, rather than create "tab" shows that fit better in Vegas venues.

The offbeat nature of the show's design concepts might, in part, be attributed to its roots. Developed at a local theatre last October, this production has been in the works since August 2011. It enjoyed 2 successful sold-out runs in October and January, and there seems to be no stopping this army of the undead. Crowds of people were turned away from the show's original runs, and its fanbase has been growing rampantly ever since.

For those who don't know, this live stage show takes all the elements of the cult classic horror films, Evil Dead 1, Evil Dead 2, and Army of Darkness then combines them to make "one of the craziest theatrical experiences of all time."

Five college students go to an abandoned cabin in the woods and accidentally unleash an evil force that turns them all into demons. It's all up to Ash (a housewares employee turned demon-killing hero) and his trusty chainsaw to save the day. Blood flies. Limbs are dismembered. Demons are telling bad jokes... and all to music.

The show stars Ben Stobber as Ash (a role made famous by Bruce Campbell), Nicole Unger as Annie, Lorie Palkow as Cheryl, Mickey Roark as Scott, John Tomasello as Jake, Sarah Willick as Linda, and Matthew Antonizick as Ed. All of these actors were in the past 2 stagings of the show, and all are eager to begin their run on the Vegas Strip. What is unique about this show is that it relies solely on local Vegas talent. Rather than audition performers in L.A. or N.Y., the producer chose instead to find the people he needed right here in Vegas, making it the first show developed at the local level to go to the Strip, and one of the few stage productions on the Strip that auditioned local talent only.

For fans who saw the previous incarnations of the show, this production features better effects, better sound, better makeup, more blood, more action, and is generally a more "polished" version of the show they've come to love. It has not traded in its racy humor, campy comedy, love of splattering blood, or other elements that made the show so popular. According to the producer, the show is enhanced by its new home but it is not changing to conform to it.

Sirc Michaels Productions is excited to be working with V Theater to present this new type of interactive entertainment experience to fans of the show, residents of Las Vegas, and tourists alike.

V Theater is located at 3663 Las Vegas Blvd #360, Las Vegas, Nv. Call 702-260-7200 or 1-866-932-1818 or go online at  http://www.vtheater.com/evil_dead.html for more information.
