Creedence Clearwater Revisited will bring hits like "Green River," "Bad Moon Rising" and more to The Orleans Showroom March 19-20.
Creedence Clearwater Revisited celebrates one of rock's most iconic groups, performing timeless hits that have spanned generations. Bassist Stu Cook and drummer Doug "Cosmo" Clifford formed Creedence Clearwater Revisited in 1995, two years after Creedence Clearwater Revival (CCR) was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
Despite CCR's northern California origins, the band took the rock n' roll world by storm in the late 1960s with its distinct southern sound heard in favorites like "Fortunate Son," "Have You Ever Seen the Rain," "Down On The Corner," "Born on the Bayou," and many more.
In 1969, CCR headlined at the legendary Woodstock Music Festival. That same year, the band had three albums crack the top 10 on the rock music charts and finished the year with four top three singles.
After CCR disbanded in 1972, Cook and Clifford, who had played together since junior high school, remained close. With Cook and Clifford on bass and drums respectively, John Tristao as lead vocalist and guitarist, Kurt Griffey on lead guitar, and Steve Gunner on harmonica, keyboards, guitar and backup vocals, Creedence Clearwater Revisited has enjoyed international success playing CCR's greatest hits for fans around the globe.
The band's 1998 album, "Recollection," which features CCR classics like "Lookin' Out My Back Door," "Bad Moon Rising," and "Suzie Q," went certified platinum in 2008.
