Country superstar Rodney Atkins will headline "Back The Badge," a benefit concert which will support southern Nevada's local law enforcement, at the Orleans Arena on Thursday, April 20.
Atkins is best known for his #1 country hits "Take A Back Road," "It's America," "These Are My People" and "Watching You." Throughout his musical career, Atkins has released four albums, including "Honesty" and the certified-Platinum album "If You're Going Through Hell." By winning over fans with chart-topping songs like "Farmer's Daughter," the country star has sold more than 4 million singles in the past five years. In 2006, Atkins won an Academy of Country Music (ACM) award for Top New Male Vocalist.
The show is presented by Orleans Arena, Beasley Media Group, Inc. and Real Estate Expo Las Vegas. Proceeds from the concert will benefit the Injured Police Officers Fund (IPOF) and the Southern Nevada Concerns of Police Survivors (SNVCOPS). The IPOF provides financial assistance to police officers and their families facing an injury or death in the line of duty. The SNVCOPS provides resources to the families and colleagues of fallen police officers, including counseling reimbursements, peer support, retreats, camps and scholarships. Both organizations support the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department, North Las Vegas Police Department and Henderson Police Department.
