Clint Holmes will bring a new trio configuration to the intimate Excalibur showroom in Las Vegas, performing classic favorites and new songs from his Broadway-bound musical Just Another Man. "The format gives fans a chance to see a new side of Holmes," according to press notes.
"Holmes has performed for more than 20 years, blending contemporary and classic jazz with a touch of warm comedy, delivering an all around, feel-good experience...In 2006, Holmes was featured in a PBS special, airing his Las Vegas act nationwide. Holmes also has appeared on numerous television shows, including 'The Late Show' with Joan Rivers, has been the musical feature and event correspondent for 'Entertainment Tonight' and has hosted his own Emmy Award-winning variety show. After a multi-year run as a headliner on the Las Vegas Strip, Holmes shifted gears in 2007 to write and produce 'Just Another Man,' a stage play based on his life."
The Excalibur performances, which are backed by Bill Fayne and multi-instrumentalist Domenick Allen, will be enhanced by occasional special guest appearances from Holmes' fellow Las Vegas performers. The set list will feature music from all stages of Holmes' wide-ranging career.
Performances are August 13 – 29, dark Sunday. Showtime is nightly at 7 p.m. Tickets are priced at $45 plus tax and can be purchased at the Excalibur box office and www.excalibur.com. To charge by phone with a major credit card, call the Excalibur box office at (702) 597-7600 or (800) 933-1334.
