Select MGM Resorts International properties will celebrate St. Patrick's Day with a variety of activities and entertainment that are sure to paint The Strip green. Events featuring live music, drink specials and exciting nightlife will offer a multitude of options for guests to shake their shamrocks all day and through the night.

MANDALAY BAY
Spend St. Patrick's Day rocking to the beat of live Irish bands and enjoying food and beverage specials at Mandalay Bay. The resort is staging a two-day celebration Thursday from noon - 5 p.m. with complimentary admission to a DJ set at Mandalay Bay Beach. Guests also can listen to the music and purchase a $39 all-you-can-drink pass which grants entry to the Moorea Beach Club Beer Garden. Guests must be 21 years of age or older to enter Moorea and the Beach.

If the Beach gets too hot, guests can wander into the casino where they can watch all of the NCAA tournament games throughout the day and enjoy live Irish music at either the Orchid Lounge or Mizuya Lounge. When guests get hungry along the way, they can grab a bite at Rick Moonen's rm seafood where the downstairs Café will offer Corn Beef & Slaw sandwiches along with a draught beer for only $10 and select beers for only $5.

The excitement continues Friday once again with the Moorea Beach Club Beer Garden as well as complimentary Irish bands at the Beach from noon - 5 p.m. The schedule includes performances by Darby O'Gill and The Little People, Vegas U2 and The Wild Celts, along with a DJ.

At 8 p.m., guests can catch the Celtic Punk band Flogging Molly in concert at the Mandalay Bay Events Center. With tickets starting at only $27.50, fans can enjoy the sensational blend of the band's traditional Celtic sounds, hard-edged punk and thoughtful lyrics. Finish the night with a final stop at Mizuya Lounge for one last session of Irish music before heading home.

Also on tap for St. Patrick's Day is the grand opening of Rí Rá Las Vegas in The Shoppes at Mandalay Bay. The new Irish pub will bring an authentic Irish atmosphere to The Strip along with an impressive line-up of live music and fare that defies pub standards. Soon to become The Strip's greatest headliner is an 8-foot-tall, 500-pound carved plaster statue of St. Patrick dating back to 1850.

Crafted in the warm pub style of 19th century Ireland, Rí Rá Las Vegas will feature authentic artifacts carefully restored in Wicklow, Ireland. Rí Rá Las Vegas will feature live entertainment seven nights a week in a music room constructed with artifacts dating back to 1890 from the Olympia Theater in Dublin, Ireland. Just like the pub itself, a majority of the entertainment will be direct from Ireland and include traditional Irish sessions and visiting bands. Traditional Irish fare with American influences will be served at all times of the day and into the night. Redefining pub food, Rí Rá Las Vegas will serve dishes such as a 12 day in-house brined Corned Beef Brisket, Shepherd's Pie made with minced lamb and Beef and Guinness Stew, to name a few.
