Broadway Bound and Studio One's Summerlin Dance Academy are proud to present the theater production of Hello, Dolly! at the Summerlin Library Theater August 16 - 24, 2013 for eight memorable performances, including matinee and evening show times, sponsored by Rudy Foundation.

Based on Thornton Wilder's colorful play, The Matchmaker (formerly known as The Merchant of Yonkers), Hello, Dolly! is a ten-time Tony Award-winning musical with a storyline permeating pop culture with film and TV adaptations. Set before the days of BRAVO's Millionaire Matchmaker, the musical brings audiences back to the turn of the 20th century in New York City. Centered on matchmaker, Mrs. Dolly Levi's romantic pursuits for Mr. Horace Vandergelder and his famous fortune, the story follows a feisty woman's journey to achieve love and friendship while helping others do the same. Filled with jovial characters, vibrant dialogue and animated songs, the irresistible story will be brought to life by Broadway Bound's talented young performers.

"Our program is known for our high-energy productions that are not just entertaining for audiences, but also empowering for young talent. We are so blessed to have had a tremendous amount of community support," said Michael Vojvodich, director and instructor of Broadway Bound. "The kids and I are so excited for this production of Hello, Dolly! and we're especially excited to be sharing this experience with the community." Vojvodich's credits include title roles in Jesus Christ Superstar and Jekyll and Hyde, and collaborations with musical theater legends such as Jerry Herman, Susan Egan, Michael McElroy and Marvin Hamlisch.

The Broadway Bound program at Studio One's Summerlin Dance Academy is the first of its kind in Las Vegas not only to provide its students instruction in acting technique, singing and dancing, but also to offer youth in the community opportunities to be cast in full-scale, multi-show productions. Net proceeds from Broadway Bound shows are donated to Broadway Bound Kidz, a non-profit organization, which is committed to the enrichment, entertainment and education of young people in a theater arts and dance environment.

Performances of Hello, Dolly! can be seen at 7 p.m. on Thursday, Friday and Saturday evenings, along with 1 p.m. matinee performances on Saturday and Sunday. Tickets are $15 and can be purchased online at www.broadwayboundlv.com or by calling (702) 838-5131.
