Broadway Bound and Studio One's Summerlin Dance Academy will present the theatrical production of "The Addams Family" at the Summerlin Library Theater, February 20 - March 7, 2015, for twelve memorable performances, sponsored and supported by the Rudy Foundation.

Everyone's favorite delightfully spooky family comes to life in "The Addams Family." This magnificently ghoulish musical comedy features an original story, and it's every father's nightmare. Wednesday Addams, the definitive princess of darkness, has grown up and fallen in love with a sweet, intelligent young man from a proper family. A man her father has never met, let alone heard of. And if that weren't upsetting enough, she confides in her father and pleads with him not to tell her mother. Now, Gomez Addams must do something he's never done before - keep a secret from his beloved wife, Morticia. Everything will change for the whole family on the fateful night they host a dinner for Wednesday's "normal" boyfriend and his even more "normal" parents.

"I am thrilled to be able to add a unique credit to our theatrical repertoire with the addition of this equally parts spooky and magical production," said Michael Vojvodich, director and instructor of Broadway Bound. "This show has a fantastic storyline paired with astounding musical numbers. Our talented student performers are sure to emulate the iconic and cherished Addams Family perfectly." Vojvodich's credits include title roles in "Jesus Christ Superstar" and "Jekyll and Hyde," and collaborations with musical theater legends such as Jerry Herman, Susan Egan, Michael McElroy, and Marvin Hamlisch.

The Broadway Bound program at Studio One's Summerlin Dance Academy is the first of its kind in Las Vegas not only to provide its students instruction in acting technique, singing and dancing, but also to offer youth in the community opportunities to be cast in full-scale, multi-show productions. Net proceeds from Broadway Bound shows are donated to Broadway Bound Kidz, a non-profit organization, which is committed to the enrichment, entertainment, and education of young people in a theater arts and dance environment.

Performances of "The Addams Family" can be seen at 7 p.m. on Friday, Saturday and Monday evenings, along with 1 p.m. matinee performances on Sunday at the Summerlin Library Theatre, 1771 Inner Circle Drive, Las Vegas, NV 89134. Tickets are $15 and can be purchased online at www.broadwayboundlv.com or by calling (702) 838-5131.
