The audience engages on an empathetic journey with the main character of "Everyman." The passage begins with choices opening one door in a room filled with many closed doors. He is joined with his counterpart, "Drop," personifying her magical perspective that necessary change begins with one, whether a step, touch, look, or the healing power of water with one drop.
Through dance, music, imagery, light, and sound, the journey of each person is explored. There is the power of fire, the darkness of temptation, the joy of connection, the wonder of nature, and the beauty of friendship. It is a tale of love and loss, which is unique yet the common denominator of all people. This year's performance features a unique aquatic theme that incorporates water in ways audience members have never seen before.
André Kasten and Leah Moyer are the guest writer/director team. Their choreography can be experienced in "The Beatles LOVE" and "Mystère" by Cirque du Soleil. Hans Zimmer, the Academy-Award-winning film score composer, will play three compositions, including a specially adapted piece for the one-night-only performance from the blockbuster hit "Interstellar." Zimmer has composed music for over 150 films including "The Pirates of the Caribbean" series, "Interstellar," "Inception," "The Dark Knight Trilogy," and "The Lion King," for which he won an Academy Award for Best Original Score.
