The Gazillionaire descended on Las Vegas seven years ago bringing "ABSINTHE" to Caesars Palace. He hosts the adults-only circus variety show exhilarating audiences with wild and outlandish acts in a theatre-in-the-round presentation. It is a night of imagination and excess, as its eccentric cast performs feats of strength, balance, danger, and flexibility on the intimate stage.
With success comes celebration and The Gazillionaire, along with riotous Wanda Widdles, is inviting guests to partake of the Gala of Gluttony on May 7. The one-night-only performance will feature performances by the casts of "ABSINTHE" and "OPIUM," a live band, and surprise guests.
Billed as the "Greatest Dinner Theatre On Earth," top celebrity chefs have crafted a special menu. The top gourmet restaurants of Caesars Palace will entice the palate including Restaurant Guy Savoy, Bobby Flay's Mesa Grill, Searsucker, Rao's and Beijing Noodle No. 9.
The Gazillionaire, in his gruff manner, explained, "that some of my buddies [the chefs] run the restaurants and wanted to chip in the feed people but I was content just to give them popcorn. But they insisted that is it a big anniversary, and we need to give everyone attending a big show, good food, big laughs, and cool drinks."
Proceeds from the gluttonous celebration will benefit Three Square. While some might see this as appealing to his softer side, The Gazillionaire explained, "Tax benefits for doing something like this are incredible. If I were throwing a party, it would be over-the-top. But doing this for Three Square becomes an awesome deduction, which I will really need for next year."
Another accolade for The Gazillionaire will be held on May 7 when Clark County renames the world-famous Las Vegas Strip road, Las Vegas Boulevard, as Gazillionaire Boulevard in celebration of ABSINTHE's seven-year run at Caesars Palace. Clark County Commissioner Lawrence Weekly will present the renamed street sign before giving The Gazillionaire the Key to The Strip. He will also proclaim May 7, 2018 "ABSINTHE Day" on the Strip and throughout Clark County.
"I wanted the airport to be named after me, but the county refused and picked some little street to name after me. Still, it really is about time," sighed The Gazillionaire.
But he is ready to party. "If you are feeling good, want to help some people, and have a great time, then buy a ticket. You will see a side of "ABSINTHE" you have never seen before. It is not the regular show. Of course, some of the yahoos at that other show "OPIUM" are performing. The producer of that show is a maniac, but it should still be a hoot."
The intimate spectacle will be presented to the VIP audience seated at cocktail tables. The Gazillionaire's Gala of Gluttony will be held at Spiegelworld, Caesars Palace Las Vegas beginning at 8 p.m. on May 7. A limited number of tickets for this one-night-only event benefiting Three Square Food Bank can be purchased by emailing RSVP@spiegelworld.com or calling 702.749.5881 ext. 103.
