Feature: Emmy Award-winning composer MAC QUAYLE scores hits including 'American Horror Story' and 'Mr. Robot' Image

Crime, drama, intrigue, and music have always been a staple of television and films. Emmy-winning composer Mac Quayle most recently scored the hit FX show, "The Assassination of Gianni Versace: AMERICAN CRIME Story." He also released his original score soundtrack for the show that includes the haunting electronic and string track, "Donatella." Quayle won the Emmy for his score on USA Network's Golden Globe-winning suspense-thriller "Mr. Robot." He also received two Emmy Award nominations for Main Title and Score for FX's "Feud: Bette and Joan." Other scores include the FOX crime drama, "9-1-1" and FX's Emmy-winning "The People v. O.J. Simpson."

Horror is part of his repertoire with scores for "American Horror Story" Seasons Four through Seven, and Quayle received his first Emmy nomination for his score on "American Horror Story: Freak Show."

"Music is a tool to tell a story," Quayle told BroadwayWorld.com. "My role is to help tell the story as envisioned. It is about emotions as well as revealing plot twists and turns."

As a producer, re-mixer and keyboardist, he has worked on over 300 releases, 40 No. 1 Billboard Dance hits and earned a Grammy nomination for producing Donna Summer's dance mix "I Will Go with You." While many times Quayle does not meet the artist when remixing a track, Summer came to the studio. "She was a lovely lady and worked so hard," he recalled. "She baked and brought homemade chocolate chip cookies."

Along with numerous Gold and Platinum records, he has created music for icons including Madonna, Whitney Houston, Beyonce, Depeche Mode, Britney Spears, Elvis Presley, Annie Lennox, and Sting.

His music for the documentary "Autism in Love" premiered at the 2015 Tribeca Film Festival. In 2013, Quayle was chosen as one of only six composers to participate in Sundance's Music and Sound Design Lab at Skywalker Ranch. "I have been very fortunate to make music and work with so many talented people over the years," he stated.

Currently, Quayle is scoring FX's "Pose" with eight episodes. Other shows he scores are also returning including "American Horror Story," "9-1-1," and "Mr. Robot."
