Colin Kane might be known as an insult comic, but he is direct and honest combining biting commentary with heart. The comedian will debut his first residency, The Wolf, inside Vinyl at Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Las Vegas on July 27.
Kane's R-rated show tackles relationships, dating, and memorable encounters. Audience members will experience insults as an art form, especially those who sit in the front row.
Still, times have changed and as for being direct, " I have always been truthful at some level in my comedy," Kane told BroadwayWorld.com. " People definitely appreciate it more these days."
His drive for comedy is that he is "a guy who doesn't take no for an answer. It is all about going after what you want and for me it is about making people laugh on a larger scale. It is about the jokes." He might be called The Wolf, but the show will incorporate the audience so that each performance combines his talents with people's reaction for a different experience each time.
While he might verbally target individuals, Kane also connects and uplifts as well. "I want to become a better entertainer, better boyfriend and a better person overall because I want to enjoy this life. We are all blessed." Critics might blast him, but Kane performs in his own style and focuses on his audience who enjoys his comedy as well on himself.
Kane will also continue to tour other cities but" Vegas is unlike any other place, and it is the one place everyone comes to so I am super excited about this residency." He has visited Vegas so many times but admits that it will be different this time for him. Internationally, Kane has entertained in Mexico, Scandinavian countries, and Germany. According to Kane, while cultures are different, everyone can identify with being human and understands what he is saying. Along with touring and working on his residency, there is a comedy special in the works.
Colin Kane will perform The Wolf July 27, Aug. 31 and Sept. 28 at 8:30 p.m. and more dates will be announced soon. Tickets are on sale at the Hard Rock Hotel box office or online at www.ticketmaster.com. Guests must be 18 years of age or older with a valid form of identification to attend.
