The Laugh Factory announces a comedy lineup featuring the hottest Hispanic comedians in the business. Alex Ortiz, Rene Garcia and Aida Rodriguez will be taking the stage April 30 - May 6, each with an energy that pumps up the party during this exciting week.

Alex Ortiz, who has been called the “Boricua Bad Boy of Comedy,” is a true champion, winning competitions and the favor of audiences alike with his “no holds barred” approach to the comedy ring. Notorious in the best way, he does not shy away from controversial topics, yet impresses uproarious crowds with his “bad boy” approach to the stage.

Ortiz started his career as a fireman before becoming a comedian. He has performed at renowned venues such as the Apollo, and has appeared in multiple television specials including Comedy Central’s “Premium Blend VIII,” HBO’s “Bad Boys of Comedy,” and BET’s “Comic View.” He has shared the stage with Bernie Mac, Damon Wayans and Eddie Griffin, among others. A comedic jack-of-all-trades, Ortiz writes and sings songs, and does impressions, dialects and cartoon character voices. He was crowned 2002 TKO Comedy Champion on “Showtime at the Apollo” and tours all over the world.

Rene Garcia’s infectious energy and keen observational humor drive audiences “loco” with laughter. Whether talking about tequila turning him into Enrique Iglesias or joking about social etiquette (or neglect of it) at ladies’ night, Garcia finds humor in social behavior that everyone sees, but few can put into words.

Garcia’s comic style has led him to be labeled “the Latin Jerry Lewis.” Known for his liveliness, animation and pantomimes, he strives to take comedy to new heights. Garcia has appeared in Miller Lite commercials, was featured on MTV Tr3s, and taped a stand-up special for Showtime. He has worked with acts such as Tommy Davidson, Ron White, Katt Williams and Bill Bellamy. When he is not on tour, Garcia resides in Los Angeles, CA.

Aida Rodriguez, dubbed the “Hardest Working Woman in Hollywood,” has had her foot in nearly every door. Besides being a stand-up comedian, she is also an actress, writer and producer. She can be seen in television shows and movies including “Illegal,” “Brainiacs in La La Land,” and “Just Wrong.” Besides writing jokes, she has also penned her own one-woman show, “No Kisses for Free,” which she co-wrote with Gary Hardwick.

The Laugh Factory Las Vegas features different marquee acts each week, hosting the hottest comedians in the business, from established stand-up superstars to the young rising stars of tomorrow. Laugh Factory Las Vegas shows are performed daily at 8:30 p.m. and 10:30 p.m. Tickets are $29 (plus applicable taxes) or $44.95 (plus applicable taxes) for VIP tickets. Special two-for-one tickets are also available for locals and Tropicana Las Vegas hotel guests for both 8:30 p.m. and 10:30 p.m. shows.
