The legendary Laugh Factory Las Vegas at the New Tropicana Las Vegas today announced this week's comedy lineup. Ahmed Ahmed will be taking the stage April 9 to April 15, along with Ron Pearson and Roz Browne. The comedy showroom features different marquee acts each week, hosting the hottest comedians in the business, from established stand-up superstars to the young rising stars of tomorrow. Laugh Factory Las Vegas shows are daily at 8:30 p.m. and 10:30 p.m. Tickets are $29 (plus applicable taxes) or $44.95 (plus applicable taxes) for VIP tickets. Special two-for-one tickets are also available for locals and Tropicana hotel guests for both 8:30 p.m. and 10:30 p.m. shows.
A comic veteran, Ahmed Ahmed "has made a name for himself with his keen observations and provocative sense of humor. Whether musing on life as an Arab-American in the post-9/11 world or describing a harrowing visit to the proctologist, his hilarious anecdotes and ability to connect with diverse audiences have garnered wide praise."
Ahmed has appeared in movies and television shows including "Iron Man," "You Don't Mess with the Zohan," "Vince Vaughn's Wild West Comedy Show," "The Tonight Show with Jay Leno," "The Axis of Evil Comedy Tour" and MTV's "PUNK'D." His fresh voice and unique perspective have put him on "The View," National Public Radio and the front page of The Wall Street Journal.
Ahmed recently made his directorial debut with the film "Just Like Us," which is slated for a spring 2012 release.
Ron Pearson is a comedian, actor and world-record juggler. Starting his career as a child street performer, Pearson has now developed his own brand of humor to captivate audiences across the globe. Pearson has appeared in multiple television shows, including "Malcolm and Eddie," "The Drew Carey Show," "That 70's Show" and more. He has made appearances on late night shows including, "The Late Late Show" and "The Dennis Miller Show." He also found time to host game shows and reality television shows for the Family Channel and the Discovery Channel.
Boston native and stand-up sensation Roz Browne has been burning up stages across the globe for almost two decades. She has appeared on ABC's "The View," "Comic's Unleashed with Byron Allen," "Que Locos Comedy Jam," BET's "Comic View," "The Best of Comic View" and "America's Funniest People." She was featured at the Toyota Comedy Festival in New York and was voted Boston Metro's Favorite Comedian during the 2006 Boston Comedy Festival. She also produces the popular "Merry Wives of Comedy" show.Film credits include Danny DeVito's blockbuster film "How High," "Sunset Park" and "Deirdra's Party."
