Top artists of the '80s, including Boy George, The Romantics, Tiffany, Tommy Tutone, Nu Shooz and Farrington and Mann, will bring their classic hits to 96.3 KKLZ's Super Summer Bash at the Orleans Arena on Friday, Aug. 25.

Eighties music lovers will be taken back to one of the most celebrated eras in music history as they sing along to their favorite songs during a hit-filled evening hosted by Mike O'Brian and Carla Rea from "The KKLZ Morning Show."

Legendary singer-songwriter and award-winning DJ Boy George burst into the music scene spinning his house and electronic music sets as a DJ in the late 1970s. In 1982, Boy George became the lead singer of pop band Culture Club, releasing the No. 1 single "Karma Chameleon." Boy George went on to pursue a solo career in 1987 and released a series of hits, including "Everything I Own," "The Crying Game" and "Coming Home." Throughout his career, he has sold more than 100 million singles and 50 million albums and continues to be one of the most successful and in-demand DJs in the world.

Formed in Detroit, Michigan in 1976, The Romantics won over fans with their power pop sound, matching retro outfits, including their signature red leather suits, and high-energy performances. The Romantics are best known for their top hits "Talking in Your Sleep," "One in a Million," "What I Like About You" and "Test of Time" The group's lineup features original members Wally Palmar, Mike Skill and Rich Cole, along with Brad Elvis.

Popstar Tiffany rose to fame with her No. 1 hit single "I Think We're Alone Now." Tiffany followed up her success with another No. 1 song "Could've Been" as well as a series of chart-topping hits, including "I Saw Him Standing There," "All This Time" and "Radio Romance." The pop icon became the youngest female artist to top the Billboard album charts and has sold more than 15 million albums to date. In 2016, Tiffany debuted her most recent album "A Million Miles."

Best known for their top hits "867-5309/Jenny" and "Angel Say No," Tommy Tutone rocked the early '80s as one of the most popular power pop bands. In 1982, "867-5309/Jenny" reached No. 4 on the Billboard Top 40 chart and became a gold-selling hit. The power pop group has released five hit albums, including "Tommy Tutone," "Tommy Tutone 2," "National Emotion," "Nervous Love" and "Tutone.rtf." The band's current lineup includes Tommy Heath, Jimmy James, Greg Georgeson and Andy Gauthier.

In 1985, Nu Shooz's popularity skyrocketed after releasing their EP "Tha's Right," which included their hit song "I Can't Wait." The song became an even bigger hit after it was remixed by Dutch DJ Peter Slaghuis, making "I Can't Wait" a No. 3 Billboard Hot 100 single in 1986. After signing a record deal with Atlantic Records, the band went on to release more hit songs, including "Point of No Return," "Are You Lookin' for Somebody Nu" and "Should I Say Yes." In 2012, the band released their most recent '80s-styled album "Kung Pao Kitchen." Three years later, Nu Shooz's hit "I Can't Wait" gained new popularity after being featured in a TV commercial.

Farrington and Mann first took the stage together in 1985 as the original vocalists for the band When in Rome U.K., where they released the hit songs "The Promise" and "Heaven Knows." Farrington and Mann reformed in 2009 as "Farrington and Mann: The Original When in Rome U.K." with Rob Juarez. The band is currently touring the U.S. and plans to tour at countries around the world, including the Philippines, Canada and more.
