15th Annual Summer of Fun Kick Off Brings The Vogues, The Diamonds and More to Cannery 5/27

KOOL and KJUL will present the 15th Annual Summer of Fun Kick Off - a concert and festival event featuring craft vendors, food trucks, a classic car show and entertainment from The Vogues, The Diamonds, The Outsiders and Shades of Blue - at Cannery Casino Hotel on Saturday, May 27.

The Vogues are a vocal quartet best known for their chart-topping hits "You're the One," "Five O'Clock World," "Magic Town" and more. The group has toured the world and appeared on shows like "American Bandstand," "The Tonight Show" and the "The Ed Sullivan Show." The group was inducted into the Vocal Group Hall of Fame in 2001.

The Diamonds who rose to fame in the 1950's, are best known for their covers of do-wop hits like "Little Darlin'," "Why Do Fools Fall in Love" and more.

Also appearing are The Outsiders, a rock and roll band known best for its top-5 hit "Time Won't Let Me;" and Shades of Blue, a soul and vocal group whose top hit was "Oh How Happy." Musical duo Izon Eden will perform in the festival area.

Doors to the festival open at 4 p.m. Tickets start at $5 plus taxes and convenience fees, and are available online at www.ticketmaster.com.
