Hard Rock Cafe on Las Vegas Blvd Holds 'Name that Milkshake' Contest

WHAT: Hard Rock Cafe's Chef Aaron Moran to unveil Recycled Percussion-themed dessert. This milkshake includes vanilla ice cream, coffee, roasted peanuts, hot fudge and is topped with a waffle cone. It made its official debut Friday, April 1, and will be available through the month of April for $6.50 (plus tax) with partial proceeds benefitting the Las Vegas Rescue Mission. Hard Rock Cafe is asking the public to name this special milkshake by posting the suggested name to the Hard Rock Cafe's Facebook wall (Facebook.com/HardRockCafeLasVegasStrip) or sending a Tweet with the suggested name to @HardRockStrip. Las Vegas headliners Recycled Percussion formed in 1994 in New Hampshire at their High School talent show. Recycled Percussion's first performance gave birth to the style of music now known as JUNK ROCK. This small-town band has built their show into one of the more powerful live performances in entertainment. During every show, the band mixes their gritty assault on buckets, power tools or anything else they can get their sticks on with a sense of humor and gravity defying athleticism. The band is currently headlining at the all-ages Tiffany Theater at Tropicana Las Vegas.
About The Las Vegas Rescue Mission
For over 40 years the Las Vegas Rescue Mission has been serving our community. From humble beginnings, the Mission has grown to become a major help in addressing the growing homeless population of Clark County. Our men's and women's emergency overnight shelter facilities has recently expanded to provide temporary housing for 130+ singles along with 8 family units. In addition to homeless shelter facilities for men and women, we provide nearly 30,000 meals monthly, free of charge and open to anyone who comes to our gates. In addition to the services described above, the Mission has 100+ men and women who reside in our campus facilities and are actively involved in our Recovery Program to overcome addictions, which usually takes up to one year (again at no cost to the individual).
