Tree of Life explores the intertwining stories of a small synagogue in Iowa and the Jewish communities both locally and abroad. The play reflects on themes of continuity, faith, and the experience of reconciling the past with new beginnings, centering around the character of Ken, portrayed by Victor Raider-Wexler, as he navigates his waning congregation's legacy. Directed by Jonah Greene, the cast features Patricia Carrillo as Marianela, among others, bringing to life a narrative about community, identity, and the connections that shape us. The production, which is part of The White Theatre's New Works Initiative, showcases a distinctly Jewish perspective on broader human themes.
