Performed in two parts, The Inheritance takes place decades after the AIDS epidemic, where three generations of gay men grapple with the tragedy of their past and what it means for their future. Told through a web of touching and heartbreaking stories that pay honor to the dead and call on the living to keep looking forward, it is a play about survival, healing, class divide, and what it means to call a place home.The Unicorn Theatres production of Lpezs epic masterpiece is the first regional production since the original Broadway run was canceled in March of 2020 due to COVID-19.The Inheritance is directed by The Coterie Theatres Producing Artistic Director, Jeff Church (Part One), and Unicorn Theatres Associate Artistic Director, Ian R. Crawford (Part Two). The cast of thirteen features Cheryl Benge, Ryan Bernsten, Robbert Gibby Brand, Christopher Jon Carlson, Darrington Clark, Thomas Delgado, J. Will Fritz, Rob Glauz, Matt Leisy, Jordan Luty, Terry OReagan, Tanner Rose, and Terraye Watson.Performances of Parts 1 & 2 will continue in repertory through June 12, 2022.
