Inherit the Wind at The White Theatre

Set in a small rural Tennessee town, this play, based on the famous Scopes Monkey trial of 1925, follows a school teacher who is arrested for teaching his students Darwin's theory of evolution through a fierce trial. The case quickly gains national attention and is fueled with more intensity when a former presidential candidate and famous evangelist takes the prosecutor position. With betrayal and treachery at every turn, the case takes on a life of its own.
