The Barn Players will close their run of Pippin with Music & Lyrics by Stephen Schwartz and a book by Roger O. Hirson on May 2nd. Pippin is the story of Prince Pippin (son of King Charlemagne) and his quest to find purpose and meaning in his life.

A mysterious leading player is blessed with the gift of magic who, with the help of a traveling troupe of players, narrates this classic musical comedy. Pippin traverses through the trials of war, sex and politics before finding himself out amongst the peasants away from the wealth and privilege of royal life where he meets a good widow, Catherine, and her lovable son, Theo. Despite advice from his power-hungry father, his scheming step-mother, Fastrada, his muscle-headed half-brother, Louis, and his frisky grandmother, Bertha, will Pippin find his purpose, meaning, and happiness in his life? PIPPIN features classic musical theatre songs like: "Corner of the Sky", "Magic to Do", "Morning Glow", "No Time at All" and "Love Song" with music and lyrics by Stephen Schwartz (WICKED, GODSPELL, CHILDREN OF EDEN), and was originally directed and choreographed on Broadway by the legendary Bob Fosse.
