Spinning Tree Celebrates Young Women Worldwide With EMOTIONAL CREATURE

Spinning Tree Theatre continues season eight January 17 - February 3 with the Kansas City premiere of Emotional Creature: The Secret Life of Girls Around the World. Eve Ensler (The Vagina Monologues) adapted her bestselling book into a unique theatrical experience: a fierce collage of monologues, chat sessions, songs (original music by Charl-Johan Lingenfelder) and dance.

Emotional Creature features six outrageously talented Kansas City based performers: Ai Vy Bui, Madeline Campbell, Allison Jones, Deanna Mazdra, Mikala Sullivan and Emily Vargo. Chioma Anyanwu makes her Spinning Tree debut as co-director beside company co-founder Andrew Grayman-Parkhurst.

The Emotional Creature team includes stage manager Megan Greenlee, assistant stage manager Victoria Barbee, music supervisor Pamela Baskin-Watson, lighting designer Jeff Peltz, costume designer Shannon Smith-Regnier, scenic designer Warren Deckert and sound designer Jeff Eubank.

Emotional Creature (January 17 - February 3, 2019) and Billy Elliot (April 4-20, 2019) will play Just Off Broadway Theatre, 3051 Central in Kansas City, Missouri.
