Right Between the Ears Goes Live 12/18

In a nod to the golden age of network radio, the award-winning sketch comedy show Right Between the Ears will present its annual Christmas show in a live broadcast on Sirius/XM satellite radio on Saturday, December 18 at 7:00pm.

The show, featuring the usual blend of Yuletide-flavored put-ons and take-offs, will take place in the Kansas Public Radio performance studio and will be broadcast as it happens on Sirius/XM's Laugh USA channel.

"It's like we're back to the old days of big time radio," said RBTE creator-producer Darrell Brogdon. "We're in a studio, complete with a live audience, and everybody's watching the second hand on the clock sweep up toward the top of the hour. When it hits 7:00pm, we're on the air coast to coast."

The annual Christmas show marks the third live broadcast of Right Between the Ears on Sirius/XM, which airs the comedy series three times a week. The performance will be recorded for delayed broadcast Sunday at 7:00pm on Kansas Public Radio stations.

Studio audience seating for the show is very limited, and tickets are on sale exclusively at the show's website, www.RightBetweentheEars.com.

RBTE's next live performance at Liberty Hall is set for Saturday, February 5 at 8:00pm, when KMBC-TV 9 meteorologist Bryan Busby returns for his fourth guest appearance. Tickets are on sale at the Liberty Hall box office, Ticketmaster and the RBTE website.

Right Between the Ears is a four-time winner of the Gold Medal as Best Comedy Show at the New York Festivals. The show airs on Sirius/XM's Laugh USA every Saturday at 7:00pm, Wednesdays at 4:00pm and Thursdays at 9:00pm Central; and Sundays at 7:00pm on the stations of Kansas Public Radio (91.5 Lawrence; 89.7 Emporia; 91.3 Junction City; 99.5 Manhattan).
