The MTH Theater at Crown Center presents THE WHO''S TOMMY, its second MainStage musical of the season. In honor of tonight's opening, BroadwayWorld has a first look at the cast in action below!
Artistic Director Sarah Crawford directs an 18-person ensemble led by Chicago based Tom Vendafreddo in the title role. The remainder of the ensemble includes Leah Miller, Josiah Mullins, Shelby Floyd, Daniel Vershelden, Ryan Hurza, Eric Morris, Maddox Bane, Delilah Pellow, Beth Borders, Blane Brungardt, Bob Linebarger, Randa Meierhenry, Christian Thomas Owen, Abby Peek, Kenny Personett, Tony Pulford, and Luke Walker. Jeremy Watson leads the band and choreography is provided by Kenny Personett.
Based on the iconic 1969 rock concept album, The Who''s Tommy is an exhilarating story of hope, healing and the human spirit. The story of the pinball-playing, deaf, dumb and blind boy who triumphs over his adversities has inspired, amazed and puzzled audiences for more than 40 years. This five-time Tony Award-winning musical (including the Tony Award for 'Best Original Score') is an exhilarating, one-of-a-kind theatrical event that features some of the most incredible songs of a generation, including Pinball Wizard, Sensation, Acid Queen, I''m Free, I Believe My Own Eyes, and many more.
