The Northland Symphony Orchestra will perform the opening concert of its 44th season on Sunday, October 17, 2010 at 3pm at Park Hill South High School, located at 4500 NW River Park Dr, Riverside, MO 64150. Admission to the performance is FREE.
The program will include Nicolai's Overture to the Merry Wives of Windsor, Elgar's Salut d'Amour, Cowell's Hymn & Fuguing Tune No. 3, and Beethoven's Violin Concerto featuring violinist David Repking. Repking holds a Master of Music degree from the Cleveland Institute of Music, where he graduated in 2008, and a Bachelor of Music degree from the Blair School of Music at Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tennessee. Repking is currently a member of the Kansas City Symphony and, prior to coming to Kansas City, was a fellow at the New World Symphony in Miami Beach.
