Lawrence Community Theatre Announces Schedule for Theatre Youth Classes

The Lawrence Community Theatre has announced its upcoming schedule for the company's theatre youth classes.

ACTING COMPANIES
Advanced Acting Company: January 19th - March 8th. Tuesdays 4:15 - 5:45pm.         Performance: Friday, March 12th, 7:00pm. Grades 6-12  Fee:  $105                                             The Apple - A comedy full of quirky characters and unlikely encounters. When a museum janitor inadvertently creates an artistic marvel, everyone has their own interpretation. Critics, students, and experts weigh in on talent and creativity, often butting heads and resulting in artistic shenanigans!
 
Junior Acting Company: January 21st - March 11th. Thursdays 4:15 - 5:45pm.                Performance:  Thursday, March 11th, 5:30pm. Grades 1-6.  Fee:  $105                                 
The Stone in the Road - The royal family puts the villagers to the test - Who will move the stone in the road? The burglars? Not likely. The traveling band? Perhaps. These and host of other amusing characters pass through the scene, but which will be show true kindness? This fun and playful production will offer young actors the opportunity to put their own spin on a classic folktale. 

Home School Company: January 14th - March 11th, Thursdays 1-3pm. Grades 1-6.  Fee: $105
Puppet Mayhem: Put your hands to work and your imagination into overdrive while we learn the techniques of life-like puppet making and performance! Design and create your own character to play a part in our very own puppet show.
 
Tiny Tots Thespians: February 2nd - February 23rd, Tuesdays 10:00-10:45am  Fee:  $18
Explore the world of Eric Carle through storytelling, puppetry, and acting! Together, we will help out very lonely fireflies, very hungry caterpillars, and very busy spiders.  Adventures in friendship will teach children about what being a friend truly means!  Ages:2-5
 
SOTI (School's Out, Theatre's IN): February 1st (Monday 9am - 3pm)    3, 2, 1, BLAST OFF!   Fee:  $29          
Aliens and spaceships and theatre, OH MY! Interested in all things intergalactic? Well hop on the LCT Enterprise,blast off to worlds unknown and explore theatre like you've never imagined!
 
February 19th (Friday 9am - 3pm) Willy Shakespeare.   Fee:  $29        
Welcome to a world of old-time wonder, as we delve into the realm of the great Shakespeare! Art thou ready for fun?
 
February 25th - 26th (Thursday and Friday 9am-3pm) Surfer's Paradise  Fee:  $50
Surf's up at LCT when we dive into an ocean of fun! Turn up the temperature and explore all things under the sun.
 
March 15th - 19th (Monday - Friday 9am - 3pm). What a Knight!  Fee: $105 
Camelot's craziest quest requires knights and ladies ready for fun and adventure. Will your armor withstand the jousting tournaments? Arm your imagination for creative theatre quests from the King.
