KCRep announced today that Jamie Sanders, lead actor in KCRep's THE CURIOUS INCIDENT OF THE DOG IN THE NIGHT-TIME now playing at Spencer Theatre on the UMKC campus, will visit the Children's Mercy Hospital Tourette Syndrome Center of Excellence located at 2401 Gillham tomorrow Wednesday, February 14, 2018. Jamie will tour the hospital, meet the staff at Adele Hall and have a meet-and-greet with parents of children with Tourette's syndrome at 3:30 pm.
Jamie stars in the role of 15-year-old Christopher Boone in KCRep's current production. Jamie himself has Tourette's syndrome, a type of tic disorder. An accomplished young actor (who also happens to be the son of professional actors Jay O. Sanders and Maryann Plunkett), Jamie has built an international following through his advocacy for Tourette's and Autism awareness.
