Gladstone will close its celebratory 25th Season of Theatre in the Park with "Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat". The show opens Friday, August 3rd and runs three nights consecutively through Sunday, August 5th. All performances begin at 8:30 p.m. and concessions will be available.
Andrew Lloyd Webber and Tim Rice musicalize the Biblical story of a young man whose brothers are jealous of their father's favoritism toward him and the beautiful coat he receives as a gift. They sell him into slavery in Egypt, telling their father he has been murdered, but he ultimately becomes important to the Pharaoh through his ability to interpret dreams.
Musical numbers include: Any Dream Will Do, One More Angel in Heaven, Go Go Go Joseph and Those Canaan Days.
Load up the family, blankets and lawn chairs and prepare for an evening of entertainment under the stars at the beautiful Oak Grove Park. You won't want to miss the fantastic music and sibling jealosy in Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat!
