Free ACT One Teen Camp Performance 7/16

Everyone is invited to the premier, FREE performance of ACT One's Teen Camp, "Showstopper Show Choir," this Saturday, July 16.

An original script, brought to life for the first time by this cast of local teenagers, will touch hearts of young and young-at-heart.

Seating opens at 1:45 p.m. at Harmony Vineyard Auditorium, with the show beginning at 2 p.m.
You will not want to miss this energizing & inspiring tale of the importance of being true to yourself.

Can a choice be made in the challenging world of high school to make a stand for who you really are inside? Come on the journey with a group of kids who rise to the occasion of showing the true heart of friendship while navigating through the realm of cliques - the jocks, the Shakespearean drama purists, the AV geeks, the cheerleaders, the high and mighty, and the brainiacs - to bring the Elation Heights High School Student Body together. With songs such as "Safety Dance," "Lean On Me," "One Love," and more; this performance explodes with drama, harmony, and dance moves.

Script synopsis: Meet a football quarterback (Alex) with something to hide, an AV geek (Shawn) who doesn't think his talent is special, a cheerleader (Sarah) who can no longer stand under the pressure, and a Christian group leader (Mary) who loses her perspective. Add in the comedy of the Shakespearian drama group, stir in the rest of the school, and watch the one person (Jane) who helps bring them all together. You have found yourself in the midst of a week at Elation Heights High where everyone is learning how to break down the walls they have built around them and discover true friendship on the other side.
