Kansas City area youth are coming together to change the conversation on faith and religion by engaging in interfaith cooperation through our shared value of service to others. This event will feature a service project called Project Neighborly Needs in partnership with Crescent Peace Society (CPS), the organizer of the event. Project Neighborly Needs started because members from CPS wanted to ensure that a family experiencing homelessness and/or unprivileged means is able to celebrate the Thanksgiving holiday and keep warm in the cold winter months.
The youth are paired with individuals who are receiving items from the turkey and warm clothing drive and join them for a shopping experience. The recipients choose what items they would like to take home with them.
