The Barn Players are pleased to present the Kansas City community theater premiere of "High Fidelity," based on the acclaimed novel by Nick Hornby. With a rockin' score by by Tom Kitt, memorable lyrics by Amanda Green, and an ironic, comic book by David Lindsay-Abaire, this is a musical experience not to be missed. The Barn's production is directed by Tiffany Garrison-Schweigert, with musical direction by Delano Mendoza.

When Brooklyn record store owner Rob finds himself unexpectedly single, his life takes a music-filled turn toward introspection: How his relationship went awry, and how to change his life in order to win back his love lost. With memorable characters, this homage to music geek culture explores the power of the perfect soundtrack: pop, blues, soft, metal, rhythm, and rock.

"Fans of 80s and 90s music will LOVE this show," says show runner Tiffany Garrison-Schweigert. The national press has opined, "A musical that celebrates the power of pop culture with wit, verve and a killer beat." Frank Rizzo, Variety.
