The Barn Players Community Theatre held its annual Barney Awards and Volunteer Appreciation Celebration this week.
The event honored the Best of the 2015, 60th Anniversary season and included:

Best Actress - Kay Noonan (Ouisa) in Six Degrees of Seperation
Best Actor - James O'ffill (Frank Abagnale Jr) in Catch Me If You Can
Best Supporting Actresses - Katie Bartow, (Dorothy Brown) in Thoroughly Modern Millie and Dee Dee Diemer, (A Magistrate) in Equus
Best Supporting Actor - Reed Uthe (Franz Liebkind) in The Producers
Best Choroegraphy - Guy Gardner for Catch Me If You Can
Best Technical Achievement - Sound design for Equus
Featured Performance - Julian Rivers (Ching Ho) in Thoroughly Modern Millie Judge's Choice - James Levy (Rod) and Mark Reeder (Nicky) in Avenue Q Best Musical Direction - Kevin Bogan for Thoroughly Modern Millie
Best Direction - Diane Bulan for Equus
Best Production - Catch Me If You Can

The ceremony also honored those who volunteered at the community theatre in 2015. Awards were presented by Vida Bikales, President of The Barn Players and Jessalyn Kincade. Actor and Barney Judge - the ceremony was held at the Barn Players Theater, 6219 Martway in Mission.
The Barn Players was founded in 1955 by Earl Altaire, a Kansas City interior designer and theatre devotee; today the theatre is nationally recognized and the new 2016 season will be the group's 61st consecutive season.
