Blue Springs City Theatre will hold auditions for The Sound of Music on May 12-13. The Rodgers & Hammerstein II show will see auditions at 7 pm Wednesday and Thursday.

Open Auditions: Wednesday and Thursday, May 12th and 13th
Callbacks: Friday, May 14th
Performance Dates: July 15, 16, 17, 22, 23, & 24, 2010 at 7:30 pm and July 18 & 25, 2010 at 2:00 pm.

* Roles available for: Men, Women, and Children - Ages 7 and up.

Audition Preparation:

1. WEDNESDAY AND THURSDAY, MAY 12TH & 13TH: AUDITIONS
* 7:00 to 9:00pm

* Auditions will consist of singing, acting, and dancing.
* Auditioners do NOT need to prepare a monologue.

* Auditioners need to prepare a 16 to 32 bars of a Broadway musical.
* Auditions should provide either sheet music or an accompaniment cd.
2. FRIDAY, MAY 14TH: CALLBACKS
* 7:00 to 9:00pm

* Callbacks will be by invitation only.
* If you are not called back, you may still be cast.
* The Cast List will be posted over the weekend.
3. All auditioners should come prepared to list all conflicts between May 14 and July 25, 2010.
4. Fill out an audition form. (These will be available at auditions as well.)
