Bellenwhissle Productions proudly presents their inaugural show, Alice in Wonderland. Follow Alice as she falls, fumbles, dances and discovers her way through Lewis Carroll's timeless tale of growing up in a "grown-up" world. Cantankerous Queens, Dangerous Duchesses and a Truly Mad Hatter bring this riddle-ridden and vividly re-imagined Wonderland to life. Mysterious musings, fantastical findings and spectacular surprises await you, if you're curious enough to follow us down the rabbit hole...

Produced, directed and adapted by Alex Espy, Alice in Wonderland will premiere at the Off Center Theatre in Crown Center on Friday, September 18th at 7:00pm. The run will continue on Saturday the 19th and Sunday the 20th at 2:00 and 4:00pm. Friday, September 20th will have both a 7:00pm performance for families and a special 10:00pm show for the "night owl" crowd. It will be the same great show with a cash bar open (this performance only) for your enjoyment. The run will conclude Saturday the 26th and 27th at 2:00 and 4:00pm. All tickets are just $8 after service fee and be purchased by calling the American Heartland Theatre's Box Office at (816) 842-9999 or online at https://tickets.ahtkc.com. Further information about the show can be found at www.bellenwhissleproductions.com. Alice in Wonderland was created for ages 5 and up.

Alex Espy's adaptation was originally produced at Stephen College's Okoboji Summer Theatre in Spirit Lake Iowa in 2007 to great success. He then founded Bellenwhissle Productions to further work and shape this production for its Kansas City premiere. Originally from Columbia, MO, Alex has spent the past few seasons working with the Coterie Theatre, as an actor, designer and teaching artist. He's assembled a group of top-notch young actors and designers for this production, many of them new or up-and-coming talent in the Kansas City Theatre scene. The ensemble includes Mathew Jayson Weiss, Izzie Baldwin, Molly Denninghoff, Enjoli Gavin, HerBert Moore, with Emily Peterson as Alice. Scenic design by Ryan Zirngibl, Costumes by Ashley Harrison, Lighting by Jayson Chandley, Sound by Seth Golay, and Properties by Maggie Tripp.
