On Tuesday the 13th, The audience came into the intimate theatre ready to be amazed. The audience was welcomed by the classy emcee, J. Kent Barnhart, who informed the audience that when he arrived to the theatre this evening, the lighting cues had been erased from the computer and there was no sign of recovery.

The show began with a rendition of a rousing holiday song titled, "Let There Be Light", which Barnhart humourously pointed out out the irony of the song title.

The show went on with a set showcasing each soloist. Lindsey McKee's operatic soprano was consistent, but a little much on some cases. LaTeesha McDonald Jackson surprised us with an equally sweet operatic soprano. Molly Hammer dazzled the audience with her jazzy mezzo and stole the show.

High points in the show included Quartet performances, Molly Hammer's "I'll Be Home for Christmas", Lindsey McKee's humorous "Lime Jello Marshmellow Cottage Cheese Surprise", and LaTessha McDonald Jackson's "White Christmas".

Even without the always dazzling lighting, this show was glowing with talent and exceptional music. CHRISTMAS IN SONG in a must see and a well loved Kansas City Tradition.

CHRISTMAS IN SONG runs throught December 24th at Quality Hill Playhouse.
