American Heartland Theatre presents an encore of the off-Broadway hit, I Love You, You're Perfect, Now Change. Heralded as "The most entertaining show on or off Broadway!" by Gannett Newspapers, when the off-Broadway run of I Love You, You're Perfect, Now Change closed in the summer of 2008, it had played 5,003 performances and 20 previews, an astonishingly long run by any measure, but downright historic for an off-Broadway musical (and second only to the run of The Fantasticks). Its 12-year run is a true testament to the enduring charm, wit, and wonder of this musical. Returning to the American Heartland Theatre March 12th through April 25th, 2010, 12 years after its Kansas City premiere, I Love You, You're Perfect, Now Change is back and better than ever.

I Love You, You're Perfect, Now Change celebrates the universal theme of love while poking fun at the life experiences we've all either gone through or will go through. I Love You, You're Perfect, Now Change explores every aspect of relationships - the joys of dating, romance, marriage, lovers, babies, husbands, wives...and in-laws. Always funny and fresh, I Love You, You're Perfect, Now Change is well-suited for the new couple looking to see what life's going to be like or for the couple that has been through it all.

American Heartland Theatre brings this hilarious musical to life with an entirely local cast. Adam Branson and Jon Daugharthy are both making their American Heartland Theatre debuts. Adam Branson starred as Matthew in Sonlight productions of Altar Boyz, Tom Sawyer in MTH's production of Big River, and he just completed his run as Roger in RENT at the Jewish Community Center. Jon Daugharthy has performed locally at The Metropolitan Ensemble Theater, Theater in the Park, Quality Hill Playhouse, The New Theatre, The Chestnut, the Kansas City Symphony - and in farther-off spots like Tokyo Disneyland, Busch Gardens in Virginia and Opryland Productions in Nashville. In addition to acting, Jon is a practicing lawyer.

Jessalyn Kincaid and Natalie Weaver return to AHT for I Love You, You're Perfect, Now Change. Jessalyn Kincaid has performed at almost every professional theatre in town, including the KC Rep, The New Theatre, Coterie Theatre, Quality Hill Playhouse, Musical Theater Heritage and the Unicorn Theatre. Natalie Weaver is fairly new to Kansas City. Prior to moving here, Natalie worked all across the country, most notably as Marty on the National Tour of Grease with Frankie Avalon. She worked for several years in New York City, receiving an IT nomination for her work in the off-Broadway production of The 5 Borough Plays.

Paul Hough (Direction) has directed more than 45 productions at American Heartland Theatre. Paul holds L.A. Drama Critic's Awards and Chicago Joseph Jefferson Citations for both Direction and Production and a Kansas City Best of Theatre Award for Production. Anthony Edwards returns to American Heartland Theatre as Musical Director and Pianist for I Love You, You're Perfect, Now Change. The set design is by Del Unruh, lighting design by Shane Rowse, costume design by Sarah Oliver, sound design by Donna Miller, and properties design by William J. Christie.
Tickets can be ordered online at www.ahtkc.com or through the AHT Box Office at 816-842-9999. Handicapped entry and seating, as well as assistive listening devices, are available at all performances. An ASL-interpreted performance is scheduled for Wednesday, April 14th, 2010 at 7:30PM.
